About Naked Duck Gallery

Running the aesthetic gamut from formal oil paintings to avant-garde installations, the Naked Duck Gallery has provided viewing space for artists and curators to present their creations since February 2001. Professional skills guide our visionary sensitivity as we display and publicize an average of six exhibitions a year, consciously focusing on the stimulus rather than the capital of a show. An unapologetic disregard for the formality of traditional gallery procedures gives us the freedom to explore experimental art forms and organic interactions between artists, viewers, and members of the Williamsburg community.

We have been actively involved in several community-based arts organizations, held joint shows in conjunction with Brooklyn Fire Proof Gallery, Dam-Stuhltrager, Front Room, and NurtureArt Gallery, participated in various cultural events, and received reviews or write-ups in multiple publications including Time Out New York, The New York Times, artnet, and The Brooklyn Rail. Madly fostering enthusiasm and anti-elitism, we bring style and honesty to the Brooklyn art microcosm.
