About Perry Rubenstein Gallery

In September 2004 the Perry Rubenstein Gallery inaugurated two new public spaces in Chelsea to exhibit work by emerging as well as established artists. The exhibition program is now directed by Nicelle Beauchene and Caroline Dowling. The gallery creates a unique platform for international artists with an aim to balance and support the work of artists in the early stages of their careers through context and a distinctive vision

Perry Rubenstein Gallery, 527 West 23 street space is approximately 3,000 square feet while the 526 West 24 street space (both at ground level) is led by a long and narrow passage that drops into an intimate twelve by twelve foot cube. On September 15th, 2005 Perry Rubenstein Gallery opened a third gallery space in Chelsea at 534 West 24 Street. With all three spaces, Perry Rubenstein Gallery achieves flexibility in its exhibition arrangements and seeks to promote and champion the practice of the artists in its primary program. In addition to showcasing solo exhibitions of a roster of international artists working in all media, the gallery often features curated shows that include work by emerging as well as established artists. Whether highlighting a specific work, proposed project, performance, curated exhibition, or extensive, multi venue exhibition the gallery strives to support and build the work of its artists through creating a context that will broaden contemporary visual narratives through dialogue and juxtaposition. To date, Perry Rubenstein Gallery has mounted twenty-six exhibitions in its three spaces.
